FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it covered under my insurance?
  • It depends on your health insurance provider, It may be possible to re-claim for a course of treatment but you should check in advance with your insurance company as soon as you plan to go for osteopathic treatment, in order to confirm the available level of cover and whether you will need to have a referral from your GP.   We will provide you all the necessary invoice and documents to handover to your health insurance provider for further steps.
Do I need to be referred by my GP?
  • Most patients 'self refer' to an osteopath for treatment. Although referral by a GP is not necessary, patients are encouraged to keep both their GP and osteopath fully informed, so that their medical records are current and complete and the patient receives the best possible care from both healthcare practitioners.
What do I need to wear to my osteo appointments?
  • It’s best to wear comfortable clothes that you can move around easily in. Loose pants, shorts and shirt are best. Bring some clothes to change into if you need.
