What is Podiatry?

Podiatry deals with the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of medical and surgical conditions of the feet and lower limbs. This includes conditions resulting from bone and joint disorders, soft-tissue and muscular injuries as well as neurological and circulatory disease such as deep vein thrombosis (DVTs), furthermore, podiatry deals with any complications of the above which affect the lower limb, including skin and nail disorders, corns, calluses and ingrown toenails.

Dr. Suaad Al Makhmari

Dr. Suaad is BOC's expert in the health of foot, ankle and lower limbs. she has a Bsc (Hons) in Podiatry and completed courses in sports massage, kinesology and taping.

She specialises in Biomechanic assesment, insole therapy and orthotex therapy and was the Foot, Leg, and Ankle injuries First Aider at Oman Triahtlon, Ironman Oman, WFC Muscat, and Al Himam Trial Run Race.

She LOVES the outdoors, you'll often find her running, hiking, trekking or camping whenever she gets the chance.
